“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
Monifieth High School has educated generations of pupils from Angus and Dundee since first opening its doors in 1976.
We have three overarching themes for the school;- Attainment, Health and Community and these are signposted in all our correspondence and presentations. We work hard to make the school environment a place where pupils can achieve, feel safe & secure and work with mutual respect in our wider community.
We are rightly proud of the positive relationships we foster within the school and wider community and believe they are key to the success and wellbeing of our school community. We are committed to working with you as parents to create a climate of trust, respect and aspiration for all.
We have developed our teaching practice to incorporate the research work of Professor John Hattie using 'Visible Learning' techniques to pursue excellence in our learning environment.
Our pupils are encouraged to demonstrate the values of the school;- Wisdom, Justice, Integrity and Compassion and we ask that staff and pupils model these values in their everyday actions.
We hope that everything you need to know about the school can be found as you browse the website, and we look forward to seeing you in the future.
