Information on Modern Apprenticeships

If your child is thinking of leaving school in the summer, please see the Modern Apprenticeship opportunities with Angus council attached and details of how to apply. There are opportunities in a wide variety of departments and locations including Health and Social Care, Education, IT, Legal Services and Building Standards.

These Apprenticeships offer full-time employment within Angus Council and involve undertaking training (SVQ) so young people are learning and earning on the job. They are open to young people aged 16-19 (up to 24 if care experienced).

These opportunities will also be shared on the year group Teams. If your child is applying, please inform their guidance teacher so they can be supported with their application as there is competition for these places.

Applications are through My Job Scotland. They open on the 24th March and close on Friday 30th April, but interest can be registered now.

There is also a separate opportunity included in the information about an Early Years Apprenticeship (see slide 24) - please note this application opens on the 17th February.

If you have any questions, please contact your child's guidance teacher.
